Astor at Cóbh

Photographs © John H. Luxton 2006

The ASTOR arrived at Cóbh from Plymouth on the morning of July 27, 2006. With the passengers on their shore excursions to the delights of Blarney Castle and The Midleton Distillery the crew of the Astor busy themselves undertaking various maintenance tasks.

ASTOR departed Cóbh at 18:30 - she is seen here coming off the removable dummy barges which act as landing stages at Cóbh Cruise Terminal for the larger cruise ships. As can be seen of photographs taken in June on a previous call, the small size of the ASTOR means that she does not actually need to use the barges.
