The 2006 Supplements to the Trip Out Guides are now available

TRIP OUT BRITISH ISLES TRIP OUT SOUTHERN EUROPE

‘Trip Out’ guides have become an essential source of information for people who enjoy travelling  by boat as well as for those involved in the business of running passenger vessels. Each booklet lists passenger boat operators area by area with their addresses, telephone numbers, details of vessels and  a description of the services provided. All types of ferry and pleasure trip service are included. Steam—engined vessels, hydrofoils and other unusual types are specially marked. The booklets include  maps to show the location of each service. All are a convenient size (about 21 by 14.5 cm).

TRIP OUT IN SCANDINAVIA - A guide to passenger shipping services in Scandinavia and the Baltic. Lists  ships of at least 100 gross tons in Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, Finland, Norway, Iceland and on the Baltic  coast of Germany and Poland.  Published in 2003, with a 2005 supplement. £5.00.

This is a guide to passenger shipping services around the coasts of Southern  Europe.

 

This A5 size book which has a compilation date of  September 2005 lists ships of at least 100 gross tons in Spain, Portugal, the south of France, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia,  Greece and Turkey.

 

This is the 7th Edition of the guide and aims to include all coastal vessels measuring at least 100 grt and carrying over 12 passengers, as well as excursion vessels carrying over 250 passengers.

 

In addition to  operator details and fleet information the book contains a useful glossary which gives translations into English of company name elements. Another glossary gives the more common anglicised names of a number of locations

 

Accompanying the book is a supplement "Old Friends in Southern Europe" which lists well known British Isles and Northern European vessels which have found a new life in the warmer climes of Southern Europe
