HMS ARK ROYAL became the first aircraft carrier to be seen in Manx waters for than a decade when she entered Douglas Bay on Monday June 09, 2008. The Invincible Class carrier was sailing from Liverpool where she had spent the weekend to disembark by helicopter a number of island VIPs including the Lieutenant Governor, President of Tynwald and the Chief Minister. |
