Blanca Del Mar - Brave Merchant and Friends in Exile

Photographs © Jürgen Fock 2006

BLANCA DEL MAR - (BRAVE MERCHANT) above. PAU CASALS  (DAWN MERCHANT) right and STENA FORWARDER left at Palma.

BLANCA DEL MAR has operated on Barcelona - Palma run for ISCOMAR since early February. Departing Barcelona at midnight and Palma at 12.30 every day except Sundays. The "Pau Casals" operates 7 days a week.

Jürgen comments that he head to go out in a dinghy to get photographs of BLANCA DEL MAR on Saturday March04 as the Port of Palma is completely sealed. The alternative is to walk over rocks and big concrete blocks on the outer side of the Dique del Oeste which is a good 2.5Km to the very end and back!

On the morning of March 08, 2006 there appeared to be some kind of invasion of English registered ships in Palma Harbour with "Pau Casals" - Liverpool , "Blanca del Mar" - Liverpool  joined by "Stena Forwarder" from London! ...... Jürgen comments: "I remember there has never been any Stena vessel in Palma. She left at 14:00hr today. I don't know if she will be on a regular line coming to Palma."
