Stena Britannica Departs from Harwich

Photographs © John H. Luxton 2011

STENA BRITANNICA (64,039grt) is seen departing from Harwich on her morning sailing to Hoek of Holland on August 17, 2011.

It will be noted how part of the access ramp for the former HSS linkspan (now removed) has been adapted to support the new linkspan serving STENA BRITANNICA and her sister STENA HOLLANDICA the largest ro/pax ferries in the world. The actual HSS berth now appears to have found a new use as a berth for wind farm construction barges. The old Sealink container terminal at Harwich now being used to assemble windturbines.
