The elegant 44 year old SAGA ROSE made her final departure from Liverpool on August 24, 2009. Due for withdrawal later in 2009  - she is one of a number of SOLAS 2010 victims. The Smit tugs cast off after assisting her out of Langton Lock and as she moved forward under her own power they blew their sirens saying good-bye and farewell. SAGA ROSE replied several times as she slipped out of the Mersey for the last time.
