The Peter Döhle - Mezeron - Graylaw freight operation which was inaugurated last year by INGEBOURG PILOT was enhanced at the end of October 2010 by the arrival of two larger vessels KURKSE and KALANA. The new vessels operating between Liverpool (Seaforth) and Douglas rather than between Glasson Dock and Douglas. The arrival of the new ships represents a large increase in freight capacity. The enhanced service has attracted significant new clients - the supermarket group Tesco has switched most of its freight from ro/ro using the Isle of Man Steam Packet BEN-MY-CHREE to the new lo/lo service. |
