Photographs © John H. Luxton 2008

She was operating a charter sailing for Peel Ports following the progress of James Whittaker who was undertaking the first ever end to end swim of the Manchester Ship Canal from Salford Quays to Eastham Locks to raise funding for the Manchester New Children's Hospital Appeal. James Whittaker is development director of Peel Holdings and son of the company's proprietor John Whittaker.
