On Saturday January 28, 2012, Irish Ferries' OSCAR WILDE and JONATHAN SWIFT arrived at Cammell Laird on the afternoon tide for their annual refits. OSCAR WILDE had set off from Rosslare on the evening of January 27 and JONATHAN SWIFT from Dublin on the morning of January 28.
OSCAR WILDE arrived at Birkenhead first and entered Cammell Laird #5 Dry Dock bow first around 13:15, followed around twenty five minutes later by JONATHAN SWIFT which entered the same dry dock stern first.
