Another entry was written in the long history of the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company on Saturday March 03, 2007 when the BEN-MY-CHREE made her first service sailing to Merseyside, berthing at Birkenhead Twelve Quays Terminal. This is believed to be the first ever Isle of Man Steam Packet sailing from Birkenhead. You will find a large selection of photographs of this historic event - taken from the shore and on board and assembled into approximately chronological order. On Saturday a Mersey Pilot was taken on board from Pilot Vessel PUFFIN near Q1 inbound and returned to PUFFIN near Q1 outbound.
