Black Prince Awaits Departure for Venezuela

Photographs © Barry Rodgers 2009

October 24, 2009October 27,2009

Photographs of BLACK PRINCE at Southampton from Barry Rodgers. Barry writes: "We passed the BLACK PRINCE on Saturday October 24 en route to Cowes from Southampton and on our return journey on October 27. The figure head has been removed from her bow and the tip of the bow painted white. Her funnel had also been painted white. Attached are the pictures which I took of her; the first two on Saturday and the last four on October 27. She was moored at the Queen Elizabeth II Terminal near to the vehicle carriers TOKYO CAR and TRIUMPH. Although she was due to depart at of 12.15pm when we passed her, she was still alongside and not showing any signs of leaving."

AIS showed her still present at Southampton on Saturday October 31.
