Edward Elgar on the Gloucester and Sharpness Ship Canal

EDWARD ELGAR was built by Sirus Marine Services of Stourport-on-Severn for English Holiday Cruises of Gloucester and launched in 1999, entering service in 2000. The vessel weighs 80 tons  has 11 passenger cabins accommodating two passengers each, a restaurant and lounge, lounge bar, galley,  crew accommodation and ample outside deck space. These facilities being spread across three decks. She carries a crew of four or five.

Since the retirement of OLIVER CROMWELL in 2008 EDWARD ELGAR is now Britain's largest river cruise ship. These photographs were taken at various "ports of call" along the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal between the April 23 and 25, 2011.
