EDWARD ELGAR was built by Sirus Marine Services of Stourport-on-Severn for English Holiday Cruises of Gloucester and launched in 1999, entering service in 2000. The vessel weighs 80 tons has 11 passenger cabins accommodating two passengers each, a restaurant and lounge, lounge bar, galley, crew accommodation and ample outside deck space. These facilities being spread across three decks. She carries a crew of four or five. Since the retirement of OLIVER CROMWELL in 2008 EDWARD ELGAR is now Britain's largest river cruise ship.
