Arcadia - Maiden Call at Liverpool

Photographs © John H. Luxton 2011

On August 26, 2011 Carnival Corporation Vista Class ship ARCADIA (86,799grt) made her maiden call at Liverpool. ARCADIA was originally ordered for the Holland-America division from Fincantieri. However, her allocation was changed to the Cunard division and was to have been named QUEEN VICTORIA - however, shortly before completion she was again reallocated this time to the P&O Cruises division as the ARCADIA. She is 289.9 metres long and has a beam of 32.20 metres. In the photographs below she is seen coming alongside the Liverpool Cruise Terminal.
The photographs below were taken during the afternoon.
