SD Victoria at Devonport

World Wide Support vessel SD VICTORIA (2,500grt) seen at Devonport, south yard on Wednesday October 26, 2011. Constructed by Damen, Galatz in 2010 she has a top speed of 14 knots and carries a crew of 16. Accommodation is available for 72 MoD personnel which can include special forces. She is a replacement for SD NEWTON and can support training, special forces and diving operations world wide. On board facilities include briefing rooms, operation room and class rooms as well as workshop facilities. She can carry and operate RIBs and support helicopter winching operations.
