HMS York Arrives at Devonport

Sheffield Class type 42 (batch 3) destroyer HMS YORK (D98) seen arriving at Devonport on the morning of October 26, 2011. She is had departed Portsmouth on October 18 and is due to relieve HMS LIVERPOOL off Libya during the autumn of 2011. HMS YORK was at Plymouth's Devonport base for Flag Officer Sea Training (FOST) prior to deployment. In the photographs below she is seen sailing up the Hamoaze and being assisted onto her berth in "frigate alley" Devonport by Serco Denholm tugs POWERFUL and  SD ADEPT. HMS YORK was built by Swan Hunter in 1984.
