 | On Thursday November 17, 2011, the doors of the Cammell Laird construction hall were open revealing a section of flight deck for the new HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH currently under construction by Cammell Laird . HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH (R08) is one of two new aircraft being built by for the Royal Navy. The new carrier, along with sister ship HMS PRINCE OF WALES are being assembled at the Rosyth Royal Dockyard from nine sections built in six UK ship yards BAE at Glasgow, Babcock at Appledore, Babcock at Rosyth, A&P Tyne at Hebburn, BAE at Portsmouth and Cammell Laird at Birkenhead |
