Sandown Class, mine hunter HMS GRIMSBY [M108] visited the Mersey on July 05, 2008 to escort the final stage of the Clipper 2007-08 Round The World Yacht Race which concluded at Liverpool on Saturday July 05, 2008. She was built in 1999 by Vosper Thornycroft.
