Tall Ships' Race - Liverpool - The Canning Dock Ships

These photographs show the ships assembled in Canning and Canning Half Tide Docks on Friday July 17.

Brigantine ASGARD II (1982) Ireland Brig MORGENSTER "Morning Star" (1919) Netherlands

The French Naval Service's two masted schooner ETOILE. (1932). Berthed outside is the  British gaff ketch LEADER (1892) operated by the Tinity Sailing Foundation of Brixham, Devon.

The Swedish two masted schooner CONSTANTIA  of 1908. Built as a frieghter she was rebuilt as a passenger vessel in 1967.

Berthed on the inside of CONSTANTIA is the FAR BARCELONA a Norwegian Schooner she is now operated by Cosorci El Far of Barcelona, Spain.  
Barquentine POGORIA (1980) operated by the Sail Training Association of Poland is seen berthed outside of the Bulgarian barquentine KALIAKRA (1984) of the Varna Maritime Academy

Gaff schooner SPRIRIT OF FAIRBRIDGE (1985) is a replica Liverpool Pilot schooner. She is operated by the Scottish Charity Fairbridge and supported by Bibby Line.

Royal Navy P2000 Coastal Training vessels HMS BLAZER (Southamton University) & HMS RANGER (Sussex University) were also present as part of the gathering of ships.
