A few pictures of visiting ships during my stay in the Isle of Man recently. Amongst those of the J R TOLKIEN which started off life as a Polish tug (Dierkow) found in Amsterdam and has become what now is a 42 metre (to bowsprit) schooner.
There is a painting in the lounge of the tug as she was towing the sailing ship as she now is - creative art! The ship is well finished and the lounge is very impressive quality (see photo). These pictures taken on board during a 3 hour cruise from Peel and the photo of her leaving Peel straight after the cruise as she headed for a 4 day visit to Dublin. There is a website with information of the ship - www.mehrspass.com The other photograph shows ARTEMIS and HOBURGEN on Victoria Pier.
