12" Self Manoeuvring Cutter Suction Dredger JOHN M of Humber Workboats is seen in operation at the Pier Head, Liverpool on May 02, 2005.

This interesting little vessel was busily removing silt from around the area occupied by the missing section of the Prince's Landing Stage, removed in January when it partially sank. The JOHN M was pumping the dredged silt via flexible pipeline to Holyhead Towing Company's split hopper barge AFON CADNANT for conveyance Tower Buoy where the silt was discharged.
