David Abel's Albion Shipyard Bristol was once part of the Charles Hill Ship Yard. It is seen here on Saturday June 06, 2009. The company was founded in 1980 and can build vessels of up to 250 tons.

The original SPIRIT OF PORTSMOUTH was constructed for the Portsmouth Harbour Ferry Company plc in 2002 and sister ship to SPIRIT OF GOSPORT also built at the Albion Yard. However, due to a dispute she was never delivered and has been laid up unfinished outside the yard. However, she has now been dry docked and appears to be undergoing completion work.

Seen under construction at the Albion Yard is the work vessel GREENSEAS being constructed for the French transport & utility company Veolia.
