With the acquisition of A&P Group by Peel Ports and Cammell Laird directors and shareholders at the beginning of March 2011 it has one again become possible for the company to use the wet basin. It has been out of use for some years following the sale of the yard by A&P to Cammell Laird as an agreement had been precluding its use to for ship building and repair purposes had been in place with A&P.
