| Friday April 29 saw the start of the Liverpool "Spring on the Waterfront" Festival at Liverpool which had been hastily arranged by Liverpool City Council to replace the Liverpool Boat Show which was cancelled suddenly in February when the organisers pulled out claiming a lack of trade interest. |
