Wind Turbine Installation Ship MPI RESOLUTION operated by MPI Offshore of Middlesborough, is seen at work on the Burbo Bank wind farm on Saturday September 25, 2010. She was photographed in the morning and late afternoon from the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company's MANANNAN. Between morning and afternoon the onboard crane had lifted a turbine blade into place. Whilst wind turbines create a blot on the seascape their presence has led to the appearance of unusual support ships and the jack-up MPI RESOLUTION is certainly an impressive looking vessel when jacked up out of the water.
