| Bulk Carrier KIRAN ATLANTIC is seen arriving at Gladstone Lock on the afternoon of November 30, 2008. She is operated by the Kiran Group of Istanbul, Turkey and owned by Kirgun Gemicilik of Turkey. She was assisted into Gladstone by Smit tugs SMIT TRAFALGAR and SMIT BARBADOS. Before assisting the bulk carrier SMIT TRAFALGAR was tasked by Mersey Radio to chase away three private small craft which were engaged in angling too close to the approach channel (top left photographs). |
