Superstar Express - Last Days on Merseyside

Still wearing the livery from her P&O Charter Star Cruises SUPERSTAR EXPRESS was out on the Mersey for a trail run for the second time in the past seven days on July 21 having also run trials on the evening of July 15. She arrived on Merseyside in September 2004 to lay up at the conclusion of her P&O charter.

Following her trials SUPERSTAR EXPRESS was conveyed by Svitzer tugs across the River Mersey from Birkenhead to Liverpool Canada #1 Branch Dock on Saturday July 23, 2005.

Following her move she is seen here at Canada #3 Branch Dock, Liverpool on July 27, 2005.

Star Cruise Lines SUPERSTAR EXPRESS finally departed Birkenhead on Thursday August 04. She was due to take bunkers in La Corunna bound for operation on the Mediterranean by Buquebus as the AVEMAR DOS.
